Late Notice

Washington Hospital mailed out a notice yesterday informing us that the quarterly meeting of its Development Corporation would be held today. Unfortunately the meeting was scheduled for 7:30 a.m. and the notice didn’t come in the mail until this afternoon.
I’d feel a little better about it if the hospital had posted the correct meeting information on its web site. But that didn’t happen either.

Who ever heard of a public meeting that starts at 7:30 a.m.? Sounds like a tactic to discourage public participation.
Matt, seriously, proofread, spell-check, something. Three typos in four and a half lines?

Brown act requires 72 hour notice of a meeting. Post office ought to get mail in town in two days.

So it appears that the Hospital has committed a Brown Act violation? If the notice was mailed by Hospital staff on the day before the meeting, that’s not 72 hours notice.
Matt, thanks for the corrections (you still missed one – “mailed OUT a notice”, not “mailed NOT a notice”).
