New Bird on the Fremont Scene

This year’s Christms Bird Count found 168 species between Fremont and San Leandro, including the Eurasian Eurasian Collared-Dove, which had never been seen before in Alameda county. It’s been heading northwest from Florida since the early 1980s. It was spotted near Coyote Hills, which is full of migratory birds this winter.
