From the police:

1) A teenager walked into the Bonfair Market on Thornton at 9 p.m. bought some canday, produced a handgun and demanded cash. He got what he wanted and ran away westbound on Thornton.

2) An 81-year-old man living on Paseo Padre shot himself to death with a rifle in his backyard.

From the Niles Chat Group

1) The Niles Fire Station will have it’s grand opening at 2 p.m. Feb. 17, although firefighters will be moving in this month. It’s the opposite of the plaza.

Here is the lone Fremont story I see online that’s probably in today’s paper. It’s about the “baby” grave.
