WHAT A WASTE OF TAX PAYERS MONEY!!!!!!

SMALL – that’s a a bit unfair. They thought they had a lead and followed up on it. These guys do a pretty good job, although I do wish they’d lighten up on the speeding tix a bit. But even that is a symptom of not much crime in Fremont. If they have so much time to spend on catching speeders then there isn’t much else happening. Be thankful we don’t have the gang problems that Union city has.

“But even that is a symptom of not much crime in Fremont” ??
However, I have heard far too many burglaries that happened to my friends or friends’ friends in the past year, and the Fremont police just asked them to file a report on line or sometimes discouraged residents from reporting. They refused to come out to investigate like taking finger prints, find out more from nearby surveillance cameras….Are we having too few policemen on the streets ? What should be done to correct it ? Is it ALL because of the budget problem, or is it a minsmanagement problem ?

We do have the Gang problems where do you live?

There was i will bet 15 cops over here to check this house for someone they have no clue if he was there or not? I am all for the cops covering each others backs but this was overkill. If you can not even get a cop to come to a traffic accident to file a report or respond to a burglar alarm. If we have so little crime what are the cops doing all day?

Matt, Please publish the crime stats for Fremont, Hayward and San Jose. I think you will find that Fremont crime per capita is very low.
