I don’t have the details yet. All I know is Ohlone College Trustee Garrett Yee hired the Lew Edwards Group to do a poll, and the poll showed Yee leading Fremont Councilmember Bob Wieckowski in the 20th District Assembly race.
One more political tidbit. A staffer for State Sen. Ellen Corbett emailed me that Corbett filed papers yesterday to run for re-election to her senate seat. That should put an end to rumors that Corbett was going to run for the open County Supervisor job in Oakland/San Leandro, thereby opening up her Senate seat for Assembly Majority Leader Alberto Torrico, who’s an underdog to get the Democratic nod for State Attorney General. Torrico is termed out of the Assembly this year.
Friday is the deadline for candidates to file for the June election.
