It’s only rained 16.5 inches in Fremont so far this rainy season. That’s just a tad higher than the state average, but it was enough to help replenish the local ground water supply and helped contribute to a much improved water outlook this summer.
The Alameda County Water District doesn’t expect to impose any water restrictions this summer. Glenmoor homes can water at will. The district still is asking people to be stingy with the substance: fix leaks, take short showers, water gardens in the early AM, but they’re not asking you to follow my lead and refrain from flushing after you pee.
No one at the Argus is following my lead either. They’re just happy I don’t drink a lot of coffee.
