Above is a photo of the crane that closed a portion of Stevenson Boulevard today near Central Park. The crane carried a mixer that will be used to drill 50 feet into the ground and pour cement into the holes. The mixer and crane combined weigh one million pounds
Anyway, two more Central Park construction tidbits:
1) The new Dog Park is now scheduled to open in June.
2) Work will begin later in two to three weeks on the dam/pedestrian path across the eastern edge of Lake Elizabeth. The structure should be in place by the summer, at which time it’ll be slightly less than a two mile run around — and technically over — the lake.
