On a morning when most men are doting on their wives or mothers, Bob Wiecksowski and Garrett Yee will be kibitzing with the congregants of Temple Beth Torah. Not that that’s anything to kvetch about.
Fremont’s only synagogue is hosting a debate between the two men sqauring off in the June 8 Primary to succeed Asseblyman Alberto Torrico at 9:30 a.m. May 9 in the social hall, 42000 Paseo Padre Parkway.
Anyone is welcome to come and listen to the candidates’ shmaltzy spiel, but it’ll cost a few shekels. The debate is also a fundraiser for the synagogue’s men’s club, so it’s $10 general admission and $7 for seniors. Admission includes some breakfast to nosh on.
