In another economy profitability would be all but guaranteed. But after the initial demand for their Model S pulls forward they are going to find in extremely difficult to move $50k sedans. Hopefully the partnership with Toyota results in a $25K grocery getter, or as I’ve predicted an all electric Prius made at NUMMI.
