The two Friday power outages this year cost the water park at least 3,500 patrons and about $40,000, the city said.

But, overall, the water park’s attendance has been pretty much the same as last year when the park was brand new and the weather was a little warmer.

BTW, the power outage was due to a wire malfunction in an underground substation near the corner of Paseo Padre Parkway and Stevenson Boulevard.
