First Day of School at Washington High

High school seems to have gotten a lot peppier since I was a star backup first baseman on the Great Neck South Junior Varsity Baseball Team.

Washington High invited me to their First Day of School cheer fest. I couldn’t stay long, but I really liked the big huskie painting in the gym. Makes me wonder why Bill Walsh ever left.

BTW, when I say “I think you’ve got the better equipment,” I’m talking to the unseen Fremont Bulletin photographer, not the cheerleaders in the video.

Is it true enrollment at Washington High is down this year? Wonder if the same is true at the other high schools in Fremont? Probably not so at Logan and Newark. Don’t know about Logan but Newark does bring in a whole lot of athletic recruits.
