I am against the developers funding their employees/agents to occupy the city council to get the lots for one dollar, repeat one dollar ($1) and other concessions/favors.

The developers should not mess with the elections of Fremont, if they want to do business in Fremont.

and keep it there, pressing harder, until they give up, surrender, go away, die.

If the place becomes a ghostown and “dies a slow and painful death”, it won’t hurt anyone at the top. It’s unlikely those who were in charge of this thing and brought it along won’t feel will feel any pain when it’s dead.

On that day, you’ll be more likely to find champagne smiles and bonuses for a job well executed.

If you think the goal of the mall is to create long-term job opportunities with great pay and benifits, or to bring an array of unique shops, restaurants and variety to a convienent location in Fremont you’re mistaken.

The economics of movie theaters is weird. Operators bid for the right to show a movie based on what size audience they can handle and expect. Big operators can push out the little guys. As a result, there are only a few big operators still in business. And,they go where they want to go, not where you wish they would come.
