Yay, it’s Christmas, and no one has gotten whacked yet here in Hayward. So far just husband who threw a beer bottle at his wife. He missed.

That leaves me lots of spare moments while making double time today to really appreciate the holiday.

In New York, Channel 11, which also used to carry Yankee games, had a tradition of playing Christmas songs and showing yule log fire without commercial interruption. It was quite mesmorizing. Take a look.

I liked the log, but I also liked Christmas commercials. Here’s one of my favorites:

    I remember that yule log! What they don’t do it any more? In my town there weren’t many real fireplaces that I knew of, you know those track houses built after the war the Levittown Cape Cod
