A 55-year-old transient was found dead near the Rick-Mart Center in Irvington.

A burglar or burglars broke into Mission Coffee Island Java Drive Through Coffee on Mission Boulevard and stole the cash register.

A out-of-town man told cops he was in Fremont on business in the commercial hub of Thornton Avenue and San Pedro Drive when two men robbed him of his cell phone and wallet with $140 inside. Cops kept questioning and learned that the victim had taken a cab to that romantic locale, where he had arranged a date from an internet site.
