Not to advance the cult of standardized testing, but state test scores were released today.

A score of 800 is what lower performing schools are shooting for. No big surprises. Mission Elementary, Hopkins Junior High and Mission High lead their respective categories. Kennedy High scored the lowest.

It appears Mission Elementary scored tops in the entire county.

FAME scored the lowest of all Fremont elementary schools. Oh Lord, won’t you buy their principal a Mercedes Benz?

FYI, you can write a letter to your school, saying that you don’t want your child taking the test. Then they can spend all those test-taking hours doing something useful, like reading a book.
