The Newark Police Department has announced that it will provide home security checks for people who are away on vacation or other reason that takes you away from your home for an extended absence. To request this service, pick up a form from Newark Police Department Records Unit front counter, at Newark City Hall at 37101 Newark Blvd. It is open to serve the public Monday thru Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The R.A.V.E.N. (Ready Active Volunteers Engaged in Newark) volunteers will check on your home and immediately contact the Police Department if anything criminal or suspicious is noted.
