September 17, 2012
0840 hours: Officer investigated a burglary that occurred overnight at Evergreen Oil. The loss was steel piping, copper cable and a flange.
1102 hours: Officer arrested San Francisco man, 27, on his East Bay Regional Parks warrant near Newark Memorial HS at the end of Balentine Dr. The man was cited and released at the scene with a new court date
1606 hours: Officer arrested Fremont man, 20, at the old Cinedome near NewPark Mall on warrants and 11357(a) H&S- possession of marijuana. Ramos was booked at Fremont Jail.
1955 Hours: Officer handled a citizen’s arrest/shoplifting case at the Home Depot. Union City man, 42, was cited at the scene for petty theft.
2330 Hours: Officer responded to a report of a suspicious subject ringing random doorbells on Wintergreen Ave. A parolee, 50, was contacted and arrested for possession of Methamphetamine and a Parole violation. He was booked at FPD Jail.
0025 Hours: During a traffic stop, Officer arrested Newark suspect, 19, for a Misdemeanor warrant. The suspect was booked at FPD Jail.

0741 Hours – Officer arrested Newark woman, 33, for 12500(a)/40302(b) CVC- no driver license and no identification and booked her at Fremont Jail.
1441 Hours – Officer investigated a strong arm robbery that occurred outside of Macy’s at NewPark Mall. A Hispanic male approached the female victim, pulled a gold chain from her neck, and then fled in a heavily oxidized burgundy Toyota Camry. The female was not injured.
1618 Hours – Officer recognized a vehicle associated with an extra patrol request as being stolen during a residential burglary that Officer had investigated earlier in the day. The vehicle was occupied with four male juveniles who were subsequently detained. Officer continued the investigation, conducting three probation searches and identifying another juvenile suspect also responsible for the burglary and the stolen vehicle. Three juveniles were ultimately booked into Juvenile Hall and a fourth was issued a citation and released to parents, the fifth juvenile was released after it was determined that he had no idea of the crimes his friends had committed.
1843 Hours: Officer investigated an injury collision at the intersection of Edgewater Dr. and Darvon St. Four people including two juveniles suffered minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment and observation. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
2102 Hours: Officer was dispatched to a family disturbance in the 36900 block of Mulberry St. After speaking to the involved family members Officer Hoppe arrested Newark man, 26, for 11550 H&S- under the influence of drugs. He was transported to Fremont Jail where he was booked without incident for 11550 H&S.
2334 Hours: Officer contacted San Francisco man, 33, near 5795 Mowry Ave on a warrant. He was issued a new court date and cited out on the warrant.
0105 Hours: Officer arrested transient man, 43, on a no bail misdemeanor warrant (415(2) PC- disturbance). He was booked him at the Santa Rita Jail.

1312 Hrs. Officer investigated an identity theft that occurred out of our jurisdiction reported to him at NPD.
1334 Hrs. Officers responded to 35420 Newark Blvd. (Community Center Park) regarding a welfare check on a male subject stumbling. Officer contacted Newark man, 43, and found him displaying objective symptoms of being under the influence of a controlled substance. He was arrested for 11550 (a) H&S and transported to Fremont Jail for booking.
1452 Hrs. Officer investigated an attempt burglary of a vehicle that occurred in the 35400 block of Newark Blvd. that occurred over the weekend. The reporting party had video showing an attempted burglary of her vehicle.
1703 Hrs. Officer arrested Fremont man, 26, for 11364.1 (a) H&S during a traffic stop based upon his probation terms. He had dropped a methamphetamine smoking pipe on the floorboard of his vehicle during the stop. He was cited and released for the traffic violation and 11364.1 (a) H&S possession of drug paraphernalia.
2318 Hrs: Officer contacted Fremont man, 28, at the entrance to EZ8 Motel. During a pat search for weapons, a glass smoking pipe was located. He was released on a citation for 11364(a) H&S- possession of drug paraphernalia.

1325 Hrs. All officers responded to the 5600 block of Souza Ave for a burglary that had just occurred. A neighbor witnessed the suspects exiting the front door and the descriptions are as follows;
Suspect 1: Hispanic or Black male adult, 18-20 years old, with red plaid pajama pants and a black hooded sweatshirt.
Suspect 2: 18-20 years old with a Black hooded sweatshirt
Suspect 3: 18-20 years old, Heavy/large build, with a black hooded sweatshirt
Several people matching the descriptions were detained in the general area but no arrests have been made. The residence was ransacked and the loss is unknown at this time.
1354 Hrs. Officer investigated an identity theft reported at NPD.
1534 Hrs. Officer investigated vandalism to a residence on the 6200 block of Montcalm Ave. Unknown subject(s) threw a large marble through a second story window of the residence shattering it. This residence has been a victim to previous vandalisms.
