I meant to post this on Monday but I got sent to Oakland to cover a court appearance by One Goh, the man accused of pulling the trigger in the Oikos University shooting massacre in April. Well, now I’m back in Fremont and back to posting. Here we go …

0903 Hours: Officers contacted Newark man, 20, and arrested him for an outstanding warrant.

1544 Hours: Officers contacted man, 39,  near Abe’s Liquors on Newark Boulevard. He was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place.

1815 Hours: Officers investigated a residential burglary in the 36000 block of Tudor Place. The house was ransacked and the suspect(s) gained entry through a side garage door.

2207 Hours: Newark man, 21, was contacted by officers at the intersection of Thornton Avenue and Ash Street. He was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place.

2335 Hours: Officers investigated a residential burglary in the 5700 block of Robertson Avenue. The house was ransacked at the suspect(s) gained entry by prying a bathroom window open.

0204 Hours: Officers arrested Newark man, 19, for being intoxicated in a public place after responding to a loud party call.

1245 Hours: Officers investigated an attempted residential burglary in the 35000 block of Argonne Street. The suspect(s) removed screens from several windows but did not gain entry.

1630 Hours: Officers investigated an injury collision involving two vehicles at the intersection of Thornton Avenue and Spruce Street.

1245 hours: Officer S. Eriksen contacted transient man, 46, on Cedar Blvd. and Central Ave. He issued him a citation for 22810 PC – possession of pepper spray.

1058 hours: Officers responded to the Macy’s parking lot to investigate a battery. Officer Rodgers arrested man, 22,  for 243(e)(1) PC- domestic violence battery. Singh was booked at the Fremont Jail.

1322 hours: Officer Eriksen contacted two panhandlers on Mowry Ave. and Alpenrose. He arrested 20-year-old woman from Capo Beach, Calif,  for her warrant. He also arrested man, 29, from Forest Park, Ill. for his warrant. Each was issued a new court date and released at the scene..

1522 hours: Officer Katz responded to Macy’s and accepted the arrest of two adult shoplifters, ages 29 and 30, from Fremont. They were each issued a citation for 484(a) PC- shoplifting.

1955 Hours: Officer Ramos investigated an attempted residential burglary that occurred on Cypress Point Dr. that occurred between 1:30PM and 7:30 PM. The suspect(s) attempted to gain entry into the residence by breaking a kitchen window.

1941 Hours: Officer Jackman responded to a possible interrupted burglary at a residence on Breton St. When one of residents came home, she observed an unknown male suspect inside the residence. Officers were unable to locate the suspect and the loss is unknown at this.

2117 Hours: Officer Sandoval handled a non-injury traffic collision (truck vs. bicyclist) that occurred at the intersection of Thornton Ave. and Ruschin Dr.

2324 Hours: Officers Ramos and Yates responded a road rage/brandishing incident that occurred on Thornton Ave. The victim is this case is related to tonight’s shooting victim and officers are working to determine if there is any connection between the two incidents.

0010 Hours: Officer Bloom handled the misdemeanor warrant arrest of Oakland man, 21, who self-surrendered at the front counter of the Station. He was booked at Fremont PD.
