Oh my where’d the time go? I discovered soon after you said it Bbox- Bowling for .. is too slanted for PBS. I thought for sure I’d find all sorts of one-sided shows of all opinions, I scoured the listings and found Rick Steves to be about as radical as it got. You were right.

Sorry I took so long to acknowledge that, but now that I have, thanks to you, had a chance to see what an incredible shit-parade channels 2,3,4,5,7,8,14 and 11 are shoveling into Americans living rooms nightly, I can’t see how it could hurt us to put it on in primetime any night of the week. I was transfixed The night I discovered bloodletting, dead bodies, tits, guns and dumb, dumb, what I had not been made aware of, soooo dumb. csi, criminal minds, the mentalist,
I got to see on one of em a TEENAGER set off a bomb in the middle of A CITY, People are MAIMED/DEAD, then get chased down into a subway by a dude(goodguy) in a turtleneck with a badge and a gun, the TEENAGER then emerges from the darkness UNARMED walking toward the Cop on one of the subway rails BaREFOOT, the cop says something typical like
“you’re going to jail joey, and you better hope my partner up there on the street pulls through.”
The teenager then stops, looks dude in the eye and says something to the effect of
“You just don’t get it. We don’t have you’re Fear in us, I don’t have any worry about what will happen when I-”
the cops screams as the kid kamakazi suicide bomber lifts one of his legs off the steel rail and over to the electric one proudly electrocuting to a crisp right in front of ALL OF US.
And I’m pretty sure I wasn’t the only person who -well ,not really- but maybe, THE COP I mighta thought-almost-for a second…
was thinking! maybe.
That Dude who killed himself in a way, …was Cool.

This was on about a week after the Slaughter of the kindeegarden class.

Believe it brothers and sister… council members (Bacon) will be there at the Whole Foods ground breaking to try and take credit for something they had nothing to do with. Remember Vinnie deplores devlopers even if the development they would bring would be a benefit to most.

The only thing upsetting me, about Whole Foods location, is they plan on putting another light on PPP, just before the light on Mowry going east. This is for the deliver trucks and another access for shoppers. I guess it is a small price to pay for a Whole Foods.

#3 – What possible explanation could one use to rationalize the application of a noun like “Fascism” to characterize a *left-wing* originated program of *socialized* health insurance?

Dude, at the very least please look up the definition of a word before you attempt to use it in application.

P.S. – And, before you take on the Obamacare argument, please start with the rule of law that has been in place for decades which requires that ANY individual which walks into an E.R. is REQUIRED to be afforded care – irrespective of that indivdiuals ability to demonstrate proof of coverage. Everything else is simply a matter of sorting out who pays.

After Marty’s eloquent description of Whole Foods ground breaking, I am going to attend.
I am so happy along with a lot of other Fremonters about Whole Foods opening up a store in Fremont.
The only thing that spoils it is a comment about Obamacare being Fascism, from Whole Foods CEO. He later sort of apologized.

I witnessed a Whole Foods groundbreaking before, and it is a sight to behold. The night before, a veg-oil powered backhoe churns up a swath of soil. They do this so those who will do the actual ceremonial ground breaking don’t have to exert too much energy.

On the day of the groundbreaking, council members, Whole Foods representatives and civic dignitaries sprinkle a mix of flax, quinoa and granola into the soil. The soil is then broken with shovels borrowed from Berkeley’s tool lending program. Participants then dig to the pulsing beat of John Denver’s “This Land is Your Land”, liberating the ground for this transformative structure to take root.
