Newark Memorial football coach Rich Swift has inoperable brain tumor

NEWARK — Longtime Newark Memorial High football coach Rich Swift revealed Wednesday on Facebook, through a friend, that he has an inoperable brain tumor. Swift, who in November finished his 35th year as Newark Memorial’s football coach, learned of the condition Tuesday after the results of a CT scan, wrote Stacy Kelly, a friend of Swift’s and president of Newark Memorial’s athletics booster club.
