February 6, 2013

1125 Hours: Officer Fredstrom cite released Kenneth Trant, DOB 10/31/1979, on his outstanding warrant.

1537 Hours: Officer Homayoun investigated a residential burglary in the 35200 block of Wycombe Place. Entry was made via the front door which had been forced open.

1844 Hours: Officer Homayoun investigated felony vandalism to a vehicle on Peppertree Ct. The victim vehicle had all its windows shattered.

1946 Hrs. Officer Slater investigated a residential ransack burglary in the 36300 block of Barnard St. that occurred between the hours of 0930 and 1945. Entry was made via the front door which had been forced open.

2050 Hrs. Officer Kovach investigated a residential ransack burglary in the 37000 block of Chestnut St. that occurred during daytime hours. Entry was made via a broken rear window.

0045 Hrs. Officers responded to EZ-8 Motel regarding an intoxicated Raul Rodriguez (01161977 of Newark) attempting to force entry into a room to confront his girlfriend. Upon arrival of officers, Rodriguez fled on foot. After a short foot pursuit, Rodriguez was arrested by Sgt. Lee for 148 (a)(1)PC – resisting arrest and 647 (f)PC- drunk in public. Rodriguez was booked at Fremont PD Jail.

0502 Hrs. Fremont initiated a SNARE for a stolen plumber’s work van from their city. Officer Sandoval located the vehicle and followed it on I880 to Hayward where Officer Norvell and CHP Officers catch up to Officer Sandoval. A high risk traffic stop is conducted in Hayward and the driver, Steven Ferea (DOB 07111973 of Hayward (Transient)), is taken into custody. Fremont responds to take over the investigation and takes custody of Ferea.

February 7, 2013

1319 Hours: Officer Allum arrested Jose Lomera, DOB 07/04/87 (Newark) during a traffic stop for 12500(a) – unlicensed driver / 40302(a) VC- no identification. Lomera was booked at the Fremont Jail.

1913 Hours: Officers were sent to a residence on the 8300 block of Mayhews Landing Road for a report of two brothers fist-fighting. Officer Saunders arrested Cesar Navarro (05/29/1968) of Newark for a restraining order violation.

February 8, 2013

1436 hours: Officer Clark accepted the Citizen’s Arrest of two subjects who had stolen from JC Penny. Kelly McBride, DOB 01/11/94 (Menlo Park) and her 17 year old female friend (East Palo Alto) were arrested for burglary. McBride was booked at the Fremont Jail. The Juvenile was released on an Notice To Appear to her parents.

1531 hours: Officer Jackman accepted the Citizen’s Arrest from Sear’s for theft. Robert Bohon, DOB 08/31/92 (Fremont) was arrested for 484(a) PC – petty theft and 466 PC – possession of burglary tools. He was booked at the Fremont Jail.

February 9, 2013

1210 Hours: Officer Ramos arrested Gerardo Enriquez DOB: 06/13/98 for 12500 a VC- unlicensed driver. Enriquez was booked into Fremont Jail.

1437 Hours: Officer Ramos arrested Gustavo Granados DOB: 09/13/90 for an outstanding 487 PC Grand Theft warrant. Officer Ramos spotted Gustavo outside of his residence and confirmed the warrant. Gustavo was booked at Fremont Jail.

February 10, 2013

0604 Hours: Officer Cerini investigated vehicle burglary in the 6000 block of Breton Pl. The glove box was rifled through but nothing was taken.

0944 Hours: Officer Cerini conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a suspicious vehicle near Central Ave and California St. During the stop, Officer Cerini identified Melvin Tamaro DOB: 111190 (Richmond). Melvin was found to have a no bail 23152(b) – DUI warrant out of Contra Costa County. Melvin was taken into custody without incident and booked into Fremont City Jail.

1158 Hours: Officer Ramos arrested Laurence Horton DOB: 061750 (Newark) for 484a PC Petty Theft. Laurence was caught shoplifting from the Raley’s grocery store. Laurence was released on a citation.

1200 Hours: Officer Nobbe conducted a traffic enforcement stop on Mowry Ave across from Citi Bank. The vehicle was reported stolen out of San Leandro Ca. A felony car stop was conducted and two males were detained. Christopher Yarber DOB: 031071(Hayward) was found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest for 22655.5 VC a Car Pool violation. Christopher was cited and released. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Shawn Rantz DOB: 08/29/62(Hayward). Shawn admitted his girlfriend had rented the car from Hertz and he knew she had not returned it. Christopher was taken into custody on one count of 496 a PC Possession of Stolen Property.

1655 Hours: Officer Ramos arrested James Chetham DOB: 11/18/44 for 23152 a VC DUI. James collided with a parked car near the intersection of Newark Blvd. and Ruschin Rd. James was contacted and found to have been drinking. He was transported to Eden Medical Center due to severity of the collision. James was released on a citation.

2014 Hours: Citizens reported an intoxicated motorist driving recklessly in front of a large street party on Baine Ave. Officer Jackman initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and arrested Juan Revuelta/DOB: 08-24-82 (of Newark) for 23152(a)VC – DUI and 14601.1(a)VC – driving on a suspended license. Revuelta was booked at FPD Jail.

2201 Hours: Officer Smith stopped a vehicle at the Thornton/Olive intersection. The male driver fled on foot leaving behind the intoxicated passenger. After an extensive check the driver was not located. The passenger, Daniel Osborn/DOB: 05-17-74 (of Newark) was booked at Santa Rita Jail for 647(f)PC and the vehicle was towed.
