Ed. The SFPUC first said they would close this roadway on Wednesday AM, but the bad weather this week is pushing those plans back two days, to begin on Friday AM. Here’s the new brief:
Rainstorms lashing the Bay Area this week have prompted San Francisco Public Utilities Commission officials to postpone a planned road closure in south Fremont for two days.
An on-ramp to northbound Interstate 680 and a short stretch of Mission Boulevard will close for five hours early Friday morning so that crews can prepare for a nearby water pipeline improvement project, said Daniel Jaimes, a San Francisco PUC spokesman.
The road closure — originally planned for Wednesday — was postponed after stormy weather occurred Tuesday, Jaimes said. More rain was expected Wednesday.
