Edie Britt: Will she be leaving Wisteria Lane?
This Sunday, “Desperate Housewives” finally returns from writers strike purgatory with a the first in a batch of fresh episodes. But how long wiill Edie Britt (Nicollette Sheridan) be around?
Perhaps not too long. Verne Gay, writer for The TV Zone was on the horn recently with creator Marc Cherry, who dropped some hints about bringing an end to Edie’s storyline in a “shocking conclusion to her time on Wisteria Lane.”
If it happens, it would be the first departure of a member of the show’s core cast. So would you miss Edie or not?

Would I miss Edie????? YES! YES! YES!
Edie Britt is like the glue that holds Wisteria Lane (Desperate Housewives) together!
Yes, she’s a backstabbing, scheming, flirteous witch. But she also adds excitement and thrills to the story.
The ongoing fued between Susan and Edie has been a breath of fresh air to the old ‘cat-fight’ days of Alexis vs Krystal (Dynasty).
Nicolette Sheridan has been a favorite actress of mine since her days as Paige Matheson on Knots Landing.
I particularly liked the episode where Edie does the strip show for Carlos, revealing her ‘real’ self and soul. It showed depth and character in Edie. The fights between Edie and Gabby have been exciting as well. Then when Edie grabs Edna’s hand when the news of Ida’s death in the aftermath of the tornado was also very touching and showed more depth to this intriquing character.
Wisteria Lane without Edie would be very dull and lonely. Please, don’t let this wonderfully exciting character vanish from the story that has thrilled and excited so many for so long. Keep Edie as part of the core of the Wisteria Lane montage!!!

I don’t know about Edie, but I definitely think Susan is getting pretty dumb lately. It’s like her daughter has more sense than her and always helping fix her problems. Overall I’m hoping DH will improve because I thought it was on the downhill slide.

Can we keep Edie and dump uber-irritating Susan? Or, if we’re negotiating here, I’d give up Gabrielle for Edie.

If I remember correctly, it’s tacky to send someone home after “Idols Gives Back”, so too much reflection is a waste of time.
No one really stood out tonight. Syesha doesn’t seem to get that if you sing a “big” song, you have to REALLY have something. We all know she can sing, she doesn’t have a voice that stands out.
Thanks Simon, for pointing out that Jason did the IZ version of “Over The Rainbow”, so hopefully we don’t have to hear all about it tomorrow.
Carly, I’m sorry for whatever I did. Please don’t be mad at me. Inspire honey, not scare.
David Cooke has not won yet so he needs to back peddle a bit. Tween girls can smell that a mile away and they don’t like it. Eat some humble pie, quick.
I’ll show my age here, but is Michael Johns channeling David Niven? I don’t get the whole ascot thing.
Poor Kristy didn’t think she’d still be around and had to wear a top she wore a couple of weeks ago. She still won’t go home for reasons previously stated. I, therefore, retract a comment I made a while back. Post “Idol”, she should skip “The Apprentice” and sign up for “Survivor”!
Davis A., Brooke, and Jason all know what they do best. We’re not seeing anything new but it’s a pleasant ride.
In retrospect, I’m glad Ramiele won’t be there tomorrow night. I’m not sure she could take it! I really miss seeing her up there representing us. Yes, the vertically challenged, so you all can stop the short jabs! You go Ramiele, we miss you!

YES!! She makes the show. If she does not return, I know for myself, and my circle of women friends, we WILL NOT be watching. I am sure there are many many more that feel the same as I. Those four women had alot of nerve ganging up on her considering all the skeletons in their closets. GET EDIE AND NICOLETTE BACK ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
