CBS Sucks The Blood Out Of “Moonlight”

CBS unveiled a fall lineup on Wednesday that features five new series, but some viewers will be bloody mad over one it dropped.
To make room for the new fare, CBS canceled the vampire series “Moonlight,” a show that had a small but intensely loyal following. In doing so, the network may find itself dealing with another outpouring of fan outrage a la “Jericho” last season.
Also dropped by CBS was the James Woods legal series, “Shark.” So-called “bubble” show that survived the cut include “The Unit,” “Rules of Engagement” and “The New Adventures of Old Christine.”
The new shows include three dramas and two sitcoms.
The dramas are “Eleventh Hour,” a suspense thriller from about a special adviser (Rufus Sewell) to the government who investigates scientific oddities, “The Mentalist,” starring Simon Baker as a former celebrity psychic-turned- detective who uses his gift to solve crimes, and “The Ex List,” a lighthearted drama about a 30-something woman (Elizabeth Reaser) who searches her past relationships to find her future husband.
The new CBS comedies are “Project Gary,” starring Jay Mohr and Paula Marshall as dueling ex-spouses and parents struggling to establish new lives, and “Worst Week,” about a well-meaning magazine editor (Kyle Bornheimer) who will do anything to please his girlfriend’s parents, but disaster strikes whenever he’s around them.

I cannot believe that CBS IS DROPPING MOONLIGHT, THAT IS ALL VERY SAD. I AM A VERY BIG FAN OF THAT SHOW AND TO DO THIS TO DO THIS TO ALL THE MOONLIGHT FANS OUTHERE IS AN OUTRAGE. I AND EVERYONE I KNOW WHO IS A FAN SHOULD NOT WATCH CBS ANYMORE.

So glad “New Adventures of Old Christine” made the cut….and surprised that “Shark” didn’t. I don’t really like James Woods…..I don’t really like his character…..I get tired of the formulaic “top-guy-with-minions-running-around”…….but I still watched the series and rather enjoyed it…..why I can’t tell you!! 8-:)

How could those idiots cancel Moonlight? That was the only CBS show that I watched!! What were those people thinking? Do they not realize how many fans (even over 40) watched that show every Friday night?
Oh well, I’ll just have to stick with Lost, 24 and Prison Break next season. Hopefully ABC and Fox aren’t as stupid as CBS.

Oh, that’s too bad that Shark wasn’t renewed. I didn’t love it, but it was pretty good. Otherwise, I’m underwhelmed with the list.

“New advetures of Christine is a good comedy and “Rules of engagment is a great comedy show. If these to shows are what you consider “bubble shows” … I’m staying there till the day they pop. While Jericho and Moonlight are both two shows that I could care less about.

So…James Woods continues the list of big-time actors not judged suitable for the small screen by the broadcasters. Shark would’ve been a hit on USA or FX, with the support (marketing & writing) that they give. It’s not Woods’ fault. It’s not the production staff’s fault. It’s not the viewers’ fault. It’s the fault of the morons running the broadcast networks.
