CBS’ Announces Series’ Return Dates

CBS has not yet announced whether “The Unit” will return or not. As soon as that happens, you can read about it on my blog. I no longer post to Unscripted.
Have to race out the door, but here’s the official word from CBS on when the series will return and how many new episodes are expected:

* THE UNIT, CANE and SHARK are on previously announced hiatus to
accommodate the mid-season launches of BIG BROTHER, JERICHO and DEXTER.
**The drama series SWINGTOWN, which hasn’t been scheduled yet, will also resume production.

Please do not cancel the unit!!! I live for Tuesday nights, just because of the UNIT!!! In this war time and the new confusing and controversial election time, we need the UNIT to remember that the real guys and girls doing the fighting are in real danger. The UNIT is the best show please do not cancel it!

Please bring Then Unit back! I mean there is no reason it shouldn’t it is one of the most talked about shows in years. Please give us Unit fans some info.

I agree. The Unit is one of the best shows in a long, long time. It teaches great lessons about life and doesn’t dwell on “crap” and cheap garbage for viewers. I also think it does a great service to our Country as it honors our Armed Services. Some info would be greatly appreciated by the fans.

If CBS does not bring The Unit back… Me and everyone I know will boycott CBS.
At this point, it’s been so long, I don’t think they will bring it back, in which case, screw CBS.
I’d rather watch the Terminator on FOX, and I’m looking forward to their next season.
And believe me when I say this: I am a die hard Unit fan.

from all the postings I have seen it look like athe very least the fans of the unit deserve to find out if CBS plans on bringing back the unit and when, it truly is the best show I have seen in years

I have never felt this emotionally resilient about any show that I have watched. The Unit is the only show that takes me 90 minutes to watch with my DVR (where I watch others in 40) I stop and rewind it to savor many scenes. Watching the Men and Women of The Unit makes me proud to have served our Great Nation for 23 years. I urge CBS to please bring The Unit back.

CBS should bring The Unit back. It is by far one of the best shows on CBS. Really these shows that CBS has launched i.e. Big Brother, Dexter and Jericho cannot compare to The Unit. Jericho is a good one and a keeper; Dexter is a little too out there and Big Brother should keep its summer spot or just go away.

The Unit is one of the best shows on TV, followed by Cane and Shark. These shows are well written and smart. Don’t we need more smart shows? Come on CBS executives, THINK SMART

My whole household of 4 adults watches THE UNIT faithfully. I am asking please bring it back to the lineup for Tuesday nights on CBS. This show has a little bit of everything for everybody. No matter where I was or what I was doing, when THE UNIT came on, everything took a break. PLEASE BRING BACK THE UNIT!

The Unit is a great show.
With all the reality crap on TV it is great to watch a show with great stories that show both the male and female side of the story.
It is a great one two punch starting with NCIS and then the Unit.
Please please please CBS BRING THE UNIT BACK!!!!!!

I don’t know what it is with TV execs–I have watched TV for years and it just never seems to fail: if a show is GOOD, you can bet good money it will get cancelled before long. If it’s crap, it’ll get renewed and we might watch because there’s nothing else on (yeah, I’m dating myself–this was before much cable was available, and dishes and so on). At least now there’s more to switch over to. But, I don’t know–it’s like these guys who approve what shows get on just don’t live in the REAL WORLD or something. It’s just craziness. The Unit, Shark, NCIS, and Jericho are MUST-SEES in my book. Maybe we should tell it like it is to the network execs, folks–it’s about the CHARACTERS and the DECENT story-lines, stupid!!! Enough blood and guts with all the CSI’s–can’t we get a BREAK from all that???? Geez!!!! (Sorry, guys; I like CSI’s too, but THREE nights a week? Puh-lease!

I couldn’t agree more with Debra. I look forward to the night when Ncis,& The Unit and Shark are on. The acting doesn’t get any better than that. As a women who appreciates fine acting, each actor is brilliant in their roles. The Drama, excitement, the local of The series all lend to real life as it is today. We need our shows back along with these talented people. I am so happy to learn there are other people who feel the same way about these shows. So, come on CBS Make My Day! and everyone else’s too.

Please bring The Unit back!!! My husband and I look forward to every Tuesday night, just to watch NCIS, then The Unit. I am a military wife, and all of my friends, and EVERYONE in my husbands unit are HUGE fans. It is the best and most accurate military show on TV. Dont just leave us hanging.

Please bring back ‘The Unit’ this is one fine, exciting series. Good actors/actresses (acting). Keeps one on the edge of their seats, so to speak. I was as well as others very dissapointed that this series may not survive. Shame, shame on CBS if this does happen. This series has to survive.

PLEASE BRING THE UNIT BACK! I cannot believe it! First you change the intro music then you got rid of the entire show! What is wrong with you CBS? Look at all of the people writing in just to try to get you to put the UNIT back on the air. WE ARE “FIRED UP!”

So tired of reality shows-please bring The Unit back. Many of my friends and I never missed a Tues. night of watching it and we always discussed the shows later. I watched re-run after re-run!

It would be a shame if The Unit was not renewed. It was really a great show, one my husband and I both enjoyed watching together. I know the strike caused an unexpected complication for the network, but this is a show worth keeping and I hope the network realizes it.

We have discussed with friends and we have all decided that it would be a shame if “The Unit” did not return.
It is one of the best shows we have watched in a long time. Please bring it back. This show is definitely
worth keeping.

i swear i saw somewhere that the unit was returning tonight. i must have been dreaming because its not on tonight. i have been watching seasons 1-3 repeatedly for a fix
