Jericho’s Back, Are You Watching?

It’s all well and good to toss some nuts at the network execs to get their attention, and quite another to get enough Nielsen eyeballs glued to the set.
Did the episode live up to your expectations?

Tonight I thought Jericho offered an action-packed episode that nicely set up the remaining season and even had a little time for romance.
Stanley (Brad Beyer) asks Mimi (Alice Coppola) to marry him on JERICHO.
In the beginning, I found Mimi to be just too annoying for words, and the subsequent romance a little too contrived. But tonight I changed my mind because I watched a dynamaic relationship between the two develop. Loved Mimi explaining to Stanley how she’s a take-charge gal because she fears if she doesn’t take control, no one else will. I can relate to that.
Jake (Skeet Ulrich) and Emily (Ashley Scott) embrace one another after all they have been through in the past couple of weeks after a bloody battle which their town was engaged in, on the second season premiere of JERICHO
Here’s the problem: I love Sprague Grayden, who plays Heather. So I wanted her to get together with Jake. But I’ve got to admit, Jake and Emily have a certain chemistry together that’s hard to deny. We’ll see how this maybe triangle develops through the season.

We found out that the Cheyenne government isn’t all that it seemed to be, and that there’s a bigger battle than just New Bern in store for our friends in Jericho.
But more importantly, the battle for ratings have just started. Let’s see if the fans can produce some heat for this entertaining series to continue.

Yeah, the chemistry between Emily and Jake is what happens when you mix oil and water…….. or baking soda and vinegar — fizzle.
I have no respect for the character of Jake now. Emily is the biggest waste of space on that show and ruins every scene she is in. The actress needs acting lessons.

Loved the episode and I’m glad that Stanley and Mimi got a good amount of screen time. I think Robert and Darcy are also developing into quite a couple.
According to the fast nations, the total viewers could have better, but Jerihco did fairly well in the 18-49 demographic. Better than Cane, which had occupied the time slot.

Where is Godzilla when you need him? I think the atomic bomb that hit a distant city missed the mark. I am not surprised the lead actor quit. I respect McRaney more than ever. How odd that the new young lead has no time for a close shave, but others do. With all the gun waving and new romances, viewers apparently don’t seem to notice there is no overview or plot. Why, in a lawless land people would still act as if that had been some natural disaster and still run around using terms like mayor, sheriff, etc. This show just beggars the imagination…when CBS decides that Big Bro and Boy’s Town, aka Jericho, should bump programs like The Unit and Shark, well the strike should still be on for all I care. And I think the rule for creativity at the executive level is, Don’t ask, don’t tell.
