If you’re into some heavy reading, there’s a great article in the New Yorker about how the creator of Full Spectrum Warrior is helping war veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder. Psychologist are using a modified version of the game replete with virtual reality goggles, piped-in smells and realistic gunfire to help them recover in a form of immersion therapy.
It’s a good read and the technology sounds amazing.
