Interesting to see if JRich’s strength as rebounding SG is a big benefit to the team. Love the playa, think his #s might have been inflated
by playing on a bad team.

Wondered if Baron/Jrich & filler was on the table or discussed for Kidd/Carter, but Kidd might be too old at 34. If Baron can come back from surgery quickly, this team just might have the jets to get in the playoffs. Enough depth at least at the 2 and 3 to try and run people off the floor.

MT2,Do you still feel the same way about possibly moving J Rich after the Memphis game?

As far as J-Rich, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to move J-Rich, especially if you can land a star such as Vince Carter or Paul Pierce or Kevin Garnett. I like Jason because he’s good value, but he may not be the kind of player Nellie needs for this system to work because of his ball-handling problems. If you can upgrade at the shooting guard, with Ellis backing up both, that would be a good move. It would have to be a certainty, because you know what Richardson brings.

I like Kidd as a facilitator. He could set up everyone, including Biedrins. Isn’t everyone always complaining that Baron shoots too much? I think we have a lot of scorers. I was more worried about Kidd’s diminishing returns as he ages, especially considering that we run.

I would make that trade, but with some reservations. If you have Kidd at point guard, you definitely need to go out and get a proven scorer, because you loose that threat. Kidd is not a scorer, he’s a facilitator. But he needs to have someone to work with. If the Nets couldn’t get it done with Vince and Richard Jefferson flanking Kidd, in the East, I doubt having Jackson and Richardson and Harrington with Kidd will get it done in the West.
Plys, the Nets are currently holding out for Bynum from the Lakers. I don’t think MP or Zarko is the deal sweetner for paying the swallowing the lofty contracts of Foyle and BD.

What do you think of J-Kidd and Collins for BD and Foyle? Works on Trade Checker. I think Kidd would be an upgrade over Baron.
