WHY DIDN'T NELLIE PUT SARUNAS IN THE GAME WHEN HE KNOWS THEY NEED TO FOUL?!?!?!?!?!? THEY LET JAX INBOUND THE BALL TO BARON TO SHOOT FREE THROWS????? C'MON!!! AT LEAST LET JAX GET THE INBOUND SO HE CAN GO TO THE LINE!! AND WHAT WAS BARON DOING DRIBBLING THE BALL AT MID COURT INTO A DOUBLE TEAM (FISHER AND THE FRIGGIN' SIDELINE)!!! WHY NOT PUSH THE BALL UP COURT? YOU KNOW UTAH IS GOING TO BE AGGRESSIVE AND GO FOR A STEAL, AND PROBABLY END UP FOULING! WHY WAS I AUTOMATICALLY THINKING OF NICK ANDERSON WITH PIETRUS ON THE LINE? AND WHY IS NO ONE GUARDING OKUR!?!?!

I had a bad feeling when Neelie put in Pietris at the end of the game. Don't ask me why; it was just a feeling. He had seemed so completely lost on the court, along with Monta. They had fear in their eyes and on their faces. It reminded me of Dunleavy's "deer in the headlight eye's". I'm not "hating" on MP. He's done some great things. But I think he's not the guy I want in at the end of a game because his head is not always in the game. Same with Ellis. So far the second round of playoff games will be costing MP milliions of dollars when his agent executes his new contract over the summer.

It's hard to fault Nellie, but I don't understand why he isn't playing Monta a little more to rest Baron. Maybe not at the end of the game, but your point about "Baron being butchered" could be mediated by playing Monta more. It would also give him a chance to get some confidence and rhythm.

All in all, it was a heartbreaking watching the game. We were so close to taking both games, but especially game 2.

I'm still encouraged. W's will win at home. We play Utah close in their building; I think we can still win there.

This is exactly what I said would happen. I posted 2 comments on the "Thoughts from Game 1" blog. So close yet so far away for the W's. The Jazz yet again commit 23 turnovers which is in my opinion the only reason that the W's stayed close in this game. Everyone looks at the rebounding advantage the Jazz had (60-32) and ask how is it that the W's were still in this game?? 29 pts off turnovers is why. You cannot convince me that the Jazz are going to continue committing turnovers at this rate. If anyone thinks that the W's are just gonna role over the Jazz here at the Oracle then I think you are in for a real eye opener this weekend. I think the games will be exactly the same as games 1 and 2. The Jazz are extremely mentally tough and it showed tonight by forcing OT when they were down by 5 with 42 seconds to go. Obviously they got plenty of help from the W's which showed me that the W's are not prepared enough in the head to close out a game like these previous 2. They managed to give away game 5 at Dallas as well. In my opinion this was a must win game tonight. you cannot convince me that the W's are gonna win 4 out of the next 5 games against this Jazz team. And to end my comments I think that the Jazz could win one here at the Oracle easier than we could in Utah.
