i didn’t really expect this team to sustain the energy and play from the end of the regular season last spring. it looks like this team is being built up for something in the next 2-3 years with trading jrich and unloading big contracts. but, do we keep monta and FORCE him to be a 1?? he obviously isn’t. assist numbers can be deceiving. most of his assist come off of passes to a guy coming of a screen and rarely through him penetration or creating a basket for a teammate. i say we spend as much money as we can to get arenas back.

oh yeah, and he’s shooting 51% from the field and 56% on 3′s so far. we miss him, badly. i bet he could’ve pulled us back in both the clips game and the 2nd jazz game.

i know it’s too early to panic, but WTH!!!! can’t monta make at least 2 decent entry passes into the post??? and why does he kill 10 seconds on the shot clock before initiating the offense??? i’ve never been a huge fan of his but he’s killing me even more now. i don’t think a guy who only does one thing well (score) deserves and huge contract at the end of the year. i mean, can you explain how he could not guard jason hart and put pressure on him?? how about using a little hesitation move instead of going full speed to the bucket and getting it thrown back in your face?! ok, i’m done with my rant. please prove me wrong about monta, marcus. give me something to work with. please.
