Marcus, thanks for the mention, when I dropped 56 points in 1968 I was 22 years old, this kid Jennings last night was incredible, although in my day we would have roughed him up a bit, or even less commonplace we would have double teamed him like we did Oscar and forced him to pass it, what where the warriors thinking? not double teaming him? Or at least getting physical with him, bump him off etc.

Just don't understand why you wouldn't just whack him across the head and let him drive to the hoop and just take him out. Get the ball and his head, make him hurt a bit, it's the NBA, not some weird no contact league, heck people even do that in Pick up Games.

I have no problem with having Morrow take the look that he got last night or any open 3, even in an end game scenario, even coming off the bench and under pressure. It's very easy to sit back and second guess, but if he makes that shot, which he has consistently demonstrated he can make (I don't know the number of times I hear people say they're more surprised when he misses a three than when he makes it, and it's true) then we are not even having this discussion. You can analyze to death and try to take into account context of the game, that he was having an off night, etc. But when it comes down to it it's one simple basketball play: you got a good look from the best shooter on the team. To doubt that that is a good shot, to second guess and hesitate, is really a mentality for losing. And that's not something one should ever even suggest to a young player like Morrow, not when he has the current capability he already has and the potential to be even better.

Jackson's quote is off the mark and shows why, even in his own estimation, shouldn't be a captain or any kind of leader on this team anymore. He's publicly getting down on his obviously talented teammate, and showing (again) the selfish player that he is when he talks about himself instead of being supportive of Morrow. No surprise, but taking his side and view on this one is a mistake that you can only hope the other Warrior players don't follow.

MT, your explanation of the defensive deficiencies was a good one but you're attributing it to Nellie. While Nellie obviously is ultimately responsible, he's offloaded defense onto Keith Smart. So why not lay the blame for bad tactics where it belongs?

I don't like it much when I see suggestions that Smart is next up for the coaching spot, but he seems to get a free ride around here. Maybe that's just the equivalent of the second-string quarterback who's popular because the starter sucks, but it seems like he ought to get a bit of scrutiny too.
