Billups, an all-star, lets face it:

Billups- Finals MVP
         Vocal leader
         Brings toughness
         Can hit big shots

Ellis- Great scorer
         Not a vocal leader
At 6-3, is not known for long-range shots
Definitely has hit big shots, but not as any as Billups and not identified as clutch by non-Dub fans

Billups deserves it, but if anyone deserves an award, it's the nuggets GM for getting chauncey, and Riley has only made one good move with Curry so far.

Tough to argue with Billups as an All Star... the problem is there are more than 12 guys that play at an All Star level in a given year. That's just the way it is.

Is Monta starting to remind anyone else of Dwayne Wade? Too bad Monta doesnt have end of his prime Shaq, Antoine Walker, and Gary Payton to play with or we could be talkin title. That's all they're missing hahahh

There is no question Monta has played All-Star level hoop, However the team's record is terrible. The All Star game is about the fans and unfortunately, Monta is not a household name in the East. Billups is known.

If there is another injury in the next couple of days, Monta will have his prize.

The question Warriors fans should be asking is what the teams 2010-11 plan. They are sitting on expiring contracts and I'm not sure sitting is good. The roster is in need of a special player to compliment Monta and Maggette. The player needs to be 6'6"to 6'8". Someone to guard big guards, Evans, Kobe, J-Rich, Durant, Roy etc.

We still haven't seen a healthy roster in 2 years but based on what little we've seen the front line has talent.

Curry,Watson
Ellis, Azibuke, Morrow
Maggette, Randolph, Rad,
Bendris, Turiaf, Wright,
Tolliver, Hunter...you draft the next two

Oh and give the squad to K Smart, Nellie's time has passed.

Billups came to Denver and turned them into one of the top three teams in the Western Conference. That was last year, but he's kept them at the top this year.
[...] Monta Ellis will have to wait another year — or perhaps for another injury — to make the ASG: “Tuesday, I asked Ellis, who has vacation plans that involve fishing, if he would be willing to forgo those plans if he gets the call from the league. Ellis: ‘I’ll think about it,’ drawing a chorus of laughs. Looks like Ellis won’t have to give up his chill time on the water. The league announced today that Commissioner David Stern has pegged Denver Nuggets point guard Chauncey Billups as the All-Star alternate, taking the place of injured New Orleans point guard Chris Paul. Billups’ fifth All-Star appearance means Ellis won’t be making his first.” [...]
