I think ur right dubs fan…as long as they stay healthy..I’m disappointed amundson is hurt…we have no backup pg,c,or pf. Maybe b wright can turn into a good back up pf, but as of now, other reggie…our bench is looking a little hurt…cj watson and morrow wud sure be nice right now…

As to the magic number, above, it should be fairly obvious, but I am speaking about a per game average for each player and combining those numbers…

60, 20 and 15. This is a wholly doable “magic” number (set) for the Warrior’s “big 3″, Lee, Ellis and Curry. 60 points, 20 rebounds and 15 assists, combined. If a core unit of players (on any team, Dubs included) can achieve this statistical line, this has got to be a reasonably contending team, and I believe this to be quite viable for these 3 players.

I think curry n monta can play together, they just have to play a diff style then a conventional backcourt…have to force more turnovers, use size/speed to there advantage. I excited for the season to start, been a season ticket holder for about 5 yrs now and I and this is the most excited I’ve been before season started…new owners, new coach, almost a whole new roster, new jerseys, new vibe going into season. I will say if monta proves he can’t play with curry thos season, one of em needs ta go…

Yeah, Monta’s happy, but our backcourt is still way too small and can’t defend. While Monta’s doing and saying all the right things right now, can we look seriously at Andre Igoudala? Evan Turner has a double-double the other night and looks like a legit small forward. Philly needs scoring and we need more size at the 2.
It’s a straight-up swap that will work. It gives Philly a nice young trio of Holiday, Ellis and Turner to go along with the myriad interchangeable bigs they have (along with Brnd’s albatross contract).
It gives us three guys that should have been on the world championship roster in Curry, Igoudala and Lee (hurt, of course). Mix in some defense from DWright and Biedrins (and Udoh when healthy), some scoring from Reggie Williams and BWright, some energy from Amundson, Carney and Lin and all we need is a true back-up PG.

Do you know if the Warriors would consider picking up a released FA, now that teams are cutting their rosters down toward the regular season 15? We still don’t have a real back-up for Curry.

Not that I’m a big fan of Chucky Atkins (too many miles) or Javaris Crittenton (too little sense), but Aaron Miles, Jeremy Lin, and Charlie Bell all seem more like 3rd string PGs. More proven options are becoming available.

Alternatively, we could use one of our TPEs to grab a player before their team needs to cut them. Another scenario would be a 1-for-2 trade; using our remaining roster slot to help a team with too many guaranteed contracts reduce their roster.
