The Warriors will indeed be without guard Monta Ellis for tonight’s game againstPhiladelphia, according to team sources.
Ellis is still in Mississippi and will not make it back in time to play. The funeral for his grandmother, Mary Cole, was today. She died Christmas morning, at age 89, and Ellis played the first three games with a heavy heart, averaging 21 points on 41.4 percent shooting with 7.7 assists.
Ellis is going to stay with his family Saturday and rejoin the team Sunday, likely in Phoenix. The Warriors visit the Suns on Monday.

Over the course of a season, one should look at the point differential for each player.
In this game take a look at the subs differential.
Coach Jackson likes to ride horses that aren’t going places.

All the best wishes to Monta Ellis as he deals with his loss.

Warriors were up 13 when Jackson replaced Lee with Udhoh with 4 minutes left in the first quarter.
By the time Lee went back well into the during the second quarter the lead was gone and there were done 3. That is where they lost momentum.

Without Monta or Curry, I just wish Jackson wouldn’t take Lee out so early in every game. Just leave Lee in there at the start of game. He was missing half his shots but they were up 13-18 points, unlike being down 3 when Lee returned.
