@Rotfogel: Salaries don't work and that would be two defensive liabilities for Utah up front (Jefferson and Lee). That said, I like the trade. It sheds major long-term salary for us and potentially gets our 2012 (top 7 protected) pick back from Utah that they acquired in the Deron Williams trade with New Jersey. Harris and Monta in the backcourt would be nice for the Jazz and it gives them another white guy, which their fan base always likes.
It doesn't solve our problems at center, but does give us some muscle up front. The scoring would have to come from Klay's increased minutes - he's looking close to being ready.

Hey I got a great trade scenario:

Warriors trade Monte Ellis and David Lee for Utah's Derrick Favors, Paul Milsap and their first round pick.

Why do it? Get's the Ws younger, retains hope with a first round pick and Paul Milsap can contribute right away.

Why they'd do it? They'd be getting Monte in his prime, they're a playoff team barely, right now. David Lee defensive liability will be shadowed by Al Jefferson. They've got too many big men to play and they don't have anyone as good as Monte.

Thoughts?

Great game for the Warriors. End of the third quarter was crucial. They were able to get stops on defense, and not give up offensive rebounds. Not only that, but they did it with the first unit on the floor, not the second. When the first unit is on the floor and they get stops and rebound, you have steph and monta on the break as oppossed to Rush and Maguire on the break. I love Rush to death, but he is not the guy you want with the ball in his hand in transition play.
Udoh played with the motor Mark Jackson talked about after the OKC game. He was rebounding, blocking shots, and even hit a couple of jumpers. Very quick off his feet in this game too. He was really attacking the ball on both ends, as well as on the glass.
With all that said, Steph still thinks he's a better passer then he is. He's always looking for the spectacular pass and sometimes that costs us possessions. We are not good enough to give away possessions.
