The dude (Calderon) guarding Lin was smoked twice in the first half by Lin to the basket. That’s why he backed off because Lin had smoked him before. I watched the game and Calderon was scared Lin would drive on him.

Happy for Lin too…but true as well that he would not have had this opportunity here, and never would have been able to show his game. And even with all of the “Linsanity”, the way that Klay Thompson is playing now, I would not trade Thompson for Lin. Thompson has the sweetest stroke this side of Stephan Curry, and a lot more game than just outside shooting. He is a great compliment. I could definitely see the Warriors moving Monta and sticking with Thompson. This would never have happened with Lin.

Probably since his 2nd game as a starter, I stopped caring that we let him go and how we could have had this great third guard coming off the bench… the success and mania surrounding him now probably would have never happened if he stuck around. Maybe getting 10 points, 3 assists here and there. I’m really happy that he’s beasting for the Knicks and am not bitter about it.
