Not drafting Greg Monroe ahead of Udoh was a screw up, because it would have solved their big man problem and chances area, Monte may have been kept.

This W’s draft history has been absolutely terrible.

Great proposal Harp…only problem is the lack of flexibility when Curry’s deal is up (even though i hope we don’t overpay him)

The years on that deal are hard to swallow but for the first two years its a major upgrade…I’d like to get get Jerry West’s candid take on that but I think I already know it, he values cap space in a major way…I’d move Curry and the pick plus cap filler for Rondo in a HEARTBEAT!

Perry Jones is NOT the answer at small forward. In fact, the only SF in the top of the draft that will start is Kidd-Gilchrist. With that said, I still hope we move our pick, Curry and Biedrins to Boston for Rondo, if Boston will do it.
Here’s a doozy of a trade that no one’s thrown out there and I understand why, but how about our pick, Biedrins and Jefferson (both horrible contracts) to Atlanta for Joe Johnson and his massive contract? I believe the Hawks might do it to break up their not-advcancing-past-the-first-round core of players, shed the length of Johnson’s contract and get a top-7 talent in the draft to play alongside Teague, Williams, Smith and Horford.
Granted, we get an aging Joe Johnson, on the downside of his career, but clearly with a few good years left and WAAAAY more valuable than Biedrins and Jefferson.
A starting line-up of Curry, Thompson, Johnson, Lee and Bogut is pretty damn good (if healthy). And that’s a big IF.

Yes he’s the bosses son but that doesn’t mean he is doomed to fail in the ass’t GM spot. He’s a Stanford grad and has lots of good mentors to learn from. Right- he would never have this job without his father. Don’t we all think we could do this as well as young Lacob. In any case he won’t be the final decision maker on draft day, free agents and trades.

If W’s draft Perry Jones, this is how the lineup woud look like potentially:

C- Bogut
PF- Lee
SF- Jones
SG- Klay
PG- Curry

Wright can come off the bench.

W’s won’t have to worry about length problems anymore either.
