You and I both! Jack is about a million more per year than Wright was. This is from TK via twitter:

I think we’ll keep Rush. If everyone is healthy, It’s not unreasonable to expect that this team makes the playoffs.

i thought they’d break out even since NO gets the trade exception instead of GS … basically a swap of Wright for Jack. that puts them right back where they started.. which will allow them to resign Rush still.

im willing to bet ESPN is wrong on this one.

we’ll wait until the facts come, i’m hoping they’re wrong.

“UPDATE: The addition of Jarrett Jack today puts the Warriors back up against the cap, which means several things.

For one, the team no longer has to worry about adding a backup point guard. Secondly, it almost certainly doesn’t have the cap space to sign J.J. Hickson, Antawn Jamison or Jordan Hill as a backup to David Lee.

As far as remaining free agents go, this move likely makes it harder for the Warriors to be able to match offers for RFA Brandon Rush, and any other remaining options like Nate Robinson or Dominic McGuire will probably have to agree to the veteran league minimum to remain with the Warriors.”

Regardless, I like this move. Back up point was the teams greatest need. The Warriors have shown a lot of creativity rebuilding this roster, they’ll figure out a back up 4.

OK… I see why GS need Jack. Curry is injury prone. GS need a PG to lob the ball to the high flyer Barnes. I say if he is in GS uniform, he need to be a passer, and not a shooter.

I take a pick for Bovoic. I don’t know why GS want to take Jack K. He’s not gonna start for GS with Curry in the roster. GS can play 2 PGs in the lineup if the trade go thru.

not according to Steinmetz on 95.7 a little bit ago. he said this still allows them to go get another big guy without going into the luxury tax…

i guess we’ll know soon.
