the only time they call a play for Barnes is to use him as a point forward and that isn’t a strength, it’s a gimmick plagiarized from the Nelson era…..down the line, also, matchups are going to kill us against the husky teams….we can’t keep asking Landry to shut down seven footers

I kind of wish Ezeli played more too. I kind of wish that Barnes was putting up the bigger numbers that he showed flashes of doing for a while there. And I am glad (oh so very very glad!) that Draymond Green is playing a lot and Jefferson is sitting. Jefferson and Beidrins can take their $20 million combined salaries and go have a nice time together on the end of the bench, where they belong. I am also glad that Jenkins is in the rotation…he is solid and playing well. There are all kinds of things I might wish for, but the bottom line is, my wish is starting to come true…the Warriors are WINNING!!!!

And that is good enough for me. Whatever Mark Jackson is doing, it sure as hell is working. Maybe if Barnes scored more and Festus played more, they don’t win so much. And the complaints would be much louder.

Man, Barnes has been invisible since that huge dunk. It feels like Jackson pulls him out early all the time even though it seems he is the best at getting to the rim amongst the starters.

I am glad that MJack used Jenkins in that game. I wish he’d play Ezeli more. Jenkins and Ezeli, with Landry, JJack and Green, are a good cure for a sluggish game.

Still, we quibble. The Warriors are winning. As you say, MT, this is all new. They will need to learn how to deal with success. The reward cannot be relaxing.

Barnes doesn’t seem to get many plays called for him, perhaps they could run some wing pick and roll with him and Curry/Thompson see what they get, if they get a switch they can throw to him in the post, or if they sag off him he can roll or pop. Probably their most versatile player outside of Lee.

Barnes is kind of a cerebral player. I figured it would take him at least a quarter of the season to kind of find his place. You can tell he can play this game at an elite level, he just playing double dutch right now.
It will be intersting to see what this team will look like with Bogut out there, although i think we can make the playoffs without him. I’d trade monta for Barnes, Jefferson, and Ezeli regardless.

I would also like to see more playing time for Bazemore. He’s a good defender but isn’t totally inept at offense.

I would disagree with one line of your recap, where you refer to the “upset win” at Brooklyn. I heard that in some post-game discussion about this game that it was simply referred to as a win, not an upset win. I think the Warriors are close to, if not there already, to where only a win against a small number of the “elite” teams would be considered an upset.
