Another thing I have to say so far about Mark Jackson. I can't really speak to his strategy and tactics and how much his play calling and general sets are contributing to the success of the team. But, I can say that I am super impressed by his demeanor on the sidelines. He is always calm and cool. He doesn't throw tantrums. He doesn't seem to get caught up in bad calls. This has rubbed off on the players, and is a big reason why they haven't been getting rattled and distracted. They are showing a lot of poise for such a young team. I can give MJack credit for that.

With many teams, and with past Warrior teams, the play for the last shot is always to give the ball to one guy and have everyone else get out of the way and stand around. I never like this play, because you inevitably end up with a bad shot. Kudos to Jackson, who actually set up a play with lots of motion, where the FIRST option was to PASS to the open man for a shot. It worked wonders.

I have just gone through the rest of the Warriors schedule, penciling in likely wins and losses. Check back in 4 months...we'll see how i did. I tried to be realistic...have them losing every game with OKC and San Antonio, splitting some other games with some of the better teams in the league (Boston, New York, Memphis), winning a majority of the games with the "lesser" teams, with a couple of stinkers here and there.

By my count, they win 55 games. Lofty? Sure. But then again, 15-7 to this point, 5 game road win streak, win over Miami at Miami are all unexpected too. So, who knows...could happen. And even if I am wrong, I don't think I'm wrong by much. I think, unless they are doing it with smoke and mirrors (and I do not think that they are...I think they are brick and mortar good, and going to get better), that they are a lock for 50 wins right now. Time will tell..

Indeed this is a Statement game... and this is not just something that came from nowhere because this statement actually accomplished a 5 game, possibly 7 winning streak on the road.. So things are indeed perking up...

Also what i like about the team is that it is beginning to produce pair combinations, such as Curry-Thompson, Curry-Jack, Curry-Lee, Jack-Green, and Landry-Lee....

One thing i also really like is Barnes and Green are developing at such a fast rate and their roles are becoming more and more defined and significant..

Ezeli is coming along... His defense is already a factor.. we are not seeing much from him offensively because the offensive focus among the rookies is on Barnes and Green... but i am not worried for Ezeli because plays are still being figured and designed for him at this point.. as soon as he is able to establish a rapport with Jack and Curry.. I really see this guy capable of exploding..

What i want to see from the Warriors is this... They have to realize they are the Sharks of the League and now they are smelling blood.. They should also realize that they are still very vulnerable losing to weaker teams, so they have to focus on every single win, especially on the road..

Realistically, they are playoff bound and we can very well enter the second round with everyone healthy. Championship bound? Not this year, but perhaps next year.. We just made one solid statement so far with Miami, we still have Ohio, LA, Spurs, and Knicks to work on..

What pisses me off is that we have this remarkable turn around. We’re streaking upward instead of downward for the the 1st time since “we believe” we beat the defending champs on their home floor where they’ve only lost once all season and I go to flip on espn anticipating us being the top story and we get half a clip and commentators talking about is miami in trouble instead of the warriors are great! No respect in the bay! We go out every night and everyone (media) focuses on other teams with injuries like we’re not playing without our starting center (BOGUT) and key backup (Rush). We beat the champs at full staff at home an still get no respect!

Fantastic team win. Can't say enough about the toughness and poise this young team played with. Kudo's to Jerry West and Bob Myers for putting this team together. The coaching staff did a great job to. Looks like this franchise has turned it around. Much love to Joe Lacob and Peter Guber for hiring the right people to get the losing culture out of the organization. Also kudo's for being smart enough to tank last year. Without that, we don't have these rookies. Now like the 49ers and Giants, we have people in place that will do whats necessary for the Warriors to be a real competitive franchise again. This is going to be an exciting year, if they avoid anymore injuries.
