Scottie Pippen would be fine with the Warriors not breaking the Bulls’ record

Hall of Fame player Scottie Pippen is following what the Warriors as they approach the Chicago Bulls’ record of 72 regular season wins

“Just landed and I can’t believe the Lakers held on!” Pippen tweeted Sunday after the Warriors suffered an upset loss in Los Angeles. “You don’t see the Warriors miss that many from long range too often. But I’ll take it.”

Pippen noted that while the Bulls also suffered a loss to a bad team in March during the 1995-96 season, they lost by only a point to the Toronto Raptors.

The Warriors’ loss dropped their record to 55-6, which still remained one game ahead of the Bulls’ pace in a season when Pippen lead the team in assists and 3-pointers.

“Needless to say it will be an interesting last 21 games for the Warriors. 73 won’t come easy with three games against the Spurs,” Pippen tweeted.

Asked if he didn’t want the Warriors to break the record, Pippen tweeted, “They say records are made to be broken… but I’d be ok to see that one stand for awhile.”
