Point Richmond: Sea lions at Ferry Point

There was no need to take all the trouble of going to Pier 39 in San Francisco to see sea lions Saturday, not when a couple of dozen of them were feeding off of Ferry Point in Point Richmond on a warm weekend.

    They have a nesting ground on the rocks underneath the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge, I think. You can see them through the bridgework as you drive by. They look like large slugs lying on the rocks. I have never actually seen them swimming though. Good scoop, Chris.
