Opera singer Buffy Baggot gives 80-year-old Allan Ild of Berkeley some attention at the Berkeley Public Library downtown on February 10, 2011 during a teaser performance of a modern and condensed version of “Carmen,” called “The Carmen Fixation.”

The opera opens at the El Cerrito High School Performing Arts Theater on March 5.
