Students and parents took advantage of the nice weather this week to kick off the new Rockets and Robotics Club at Mira Vista Elementary with, what else, a rocket launch!

Lots of excited kids turned out on the blacktop behind the Richmond school to watch about a half dozen rockets launched into the air. Parents who got the club started hope they can capitalize on that enthusiasm and get kids more interested in science and math, and give them a chance to have some hands-on fun.
