A billboard at Cutting Boulevard and 23rd Street is announcing the home-opener of the Richmond Rockets of the American Basketball Association.
The team opens the season on the road at Modesto before returning to Richmond for the Rocket-launching on Nov. 10 at the Memorial Auditorium.
The game will include a Veterans Day-themed salute to those past and present who served in the military.
You can meet the personnel on Richmond’s first professional sports franchise at a signing party at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Boilerhouse Restaurant at the Ford Building, 1414 Harbour Way South.
